ACT 1: CREATION

God created a perfect world that He saw as good. He dwelt with His creation and commissioned humanity to reflect His glory as image bearers, to reproduce, and to rule the earth justly.

ACT 2: BETRAYAL

Sin, death and evil entered the world when humanity disregarded his word and distrusted his authority. Everything from work to relationships was impacted, thus upsetting God’s intended design for the world and His people.

ACT 3: PEOPLE OF GOD (ISRAEL)

God loved His creation too much to leave it alone, so He initiated a rescue plan to redeem and restore all things. He established a people (the Israelites), dwelt among them, and asked them to show the world what following the true God really looked like. Their story of commitment, unfaithfulness, and repentance reflects that all are in need of salvation and that he is committed to providing it.

ACT 4: JESUS

God’s plan culminated in the life, death, burial and resurrection of His son, Jesus. He would be and do what Israel failed to be and do. Apart from relationship with God, humanity is not bad - we are dead. Jesus’ resurrection shows that death no longer has the final say and when we believe that Jesus truly is King and yield to his rule, we too are brought to life. The restoration that God does in our hearts is a foreshadow of what He will one day do for the whole world.

ACT 5: CHURCH (CALLED OUT ONES)

When Jesus returned to the Father, God again established a people, giving His very own Spirit to dwell within us, to carry this message of hope and to show the world what it looks like when Jesus is King. He has given his people, the Church, power and authority to participate in the renewal of all things as a way of establishing His rule now, and pointing toward what is to come.

ACT 6: RESTORATION

When Jesus returns, what we see now in part, will come fully in earth and all things will be made right, establishing new and restored creation. He will wipe away every tear, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things will be gone forever.
